Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Aubrey Welborn!
Aubrey is a 13-year-old 7th grader from Fairbury, and the daughter of Brooke and Jason Welborn. Aubrey was nominated by Coach Pick, who wrote, "Aubrey Welborn is a very valuable member of the PCJHS Cheer Team! During this season she has learned to be a solid base for our stunts, a skill that is not easy to perfect! Aubrey always brings her best to line during games with her infectious smile and loud voice. Her natural leadership skills have been greatly appreciated by the cheer team during a year when every cheerleader except one, and the coach, were totally new to the sport. Aubrey steps up whenever needed to do the best thing for our team. As the coach I lean on Aubrey to always keep me on my toes and remind me of details I might overlook. Off the court Aubrey is a gem of a person with interest in crafting, entrepreneurship, in addition to many others. Even as a young person Aubrey already exhibits the attitude and skills that I know are going to take her far in life." Aubrey is also involved in Yearbook and Art Guild.

Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Shannon McGrouary!
Shannon is a 13-year-old 7th grader from Chenoa, and the daughter of Tim McGrouary (Chenoa) and Debra McGrouary (Bloomington). Shannon was nominated by Mrs. Folwell, who wrote, "Shannon is very conscientious about her grades and takes ownership of her learning by coming in to see me anytime she doesn't understand a math skill. Being an athlete and very busy, Shannon shows great effort to make sure she is prepared for class. She is polite and courteous. Shannon is a great role model to her peers in math class. When doing group or partner work, Shannon always does her best and participates with an enthusiastic attitude." Shannon is involved in Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, Track, and Choir.
