
Congratulations to the PCJH Student of the Week, Knox Gray!
Knox, a 7th grader, was nominated by Ms. Hornickel, who wrote, "Knox is a Mathematician in every sense of the word. He utilizes every Math practice daily, encourages his peers to do the same and is always one of the first to volunteer his ideas. Knox's positive attitude is contagious, and he is always willing to lend a helping hand, not only to his peers, but the teacher as well." Knox is also involved in FFA.

The Upper Elementary gym was converted to a 72 hole mini golf course! Each hole was designed by our 5th and 6th grade students in Mrs. Pick's Learning Center class. Way to go!








Mrs. Harms’ 8th Grade ELA classes were busy detectives yesterday as they worked in groups to analyze evidence, eliminate red herrings, connect the dots, determine the crime’s timeline, and determine who committed the crime and why. Will the criminal be captured or give our students the slip?

Congratulations to all of our FFA students who competed at Nationals last week! The students got together for a breakfast this morning for some time to relax and bond. PC continues to have one of the strongest FFA programs in the nation!! Way to go FFA!!!

PC volleyball defeats Olympia 25-12, 25-16!! The Hawks will face Central Catholic Tuesday night at 6 PM in the IHSA Regional Semifinals at BCC!

On Friday, the Junior High celebrated their first quarterly Hawk-I of the year! The students had a lot of fun with various activities including a bombardment tournament, leaf painting, dam building, and more!

Congratulations to the PCJH Athlete of the Week, Jaedon Mohr!
Jaedon, an 8th grader, was nominated by Mrs. Lackaff, who wrote, "Jaedon joined band in 6th grade and made quick work of catching up to his peers who had an additional year of experience in band. Jaedon is an incredibly determined musician who isn't afraid of a challenge and is willing to put in the work to learn difficult music. He works hard in lessons and rehearsals and brings a level of focus to rehearsals that sets an example for his peers. I am very appreciative of the example he sets and of his terrific playing. Having strong players like Jaedon in our low brass section provides a great foundation for our sound as a band. Thank you for all of your hard work, Jaedon!"

Anthony, an 8th grader, was nominated by Mrs. Stadnik, who wrote, "Anthony excels at thinking about math in words, graphs and symbols. He attempts to understand whoever is in his group and shows respect inside the classroom."

Keianna, an 8th grader, was nominated by Coach Gradberg, who wrote, "Keianna has a very positive outlook during practice and games. She listens and applies newly taught skills. She always works hard and never hesitates to ask questions. She is very supportive of her teammates and is quick to pick them up with positive words or with a smile. In school, Keianna volunteers in the library and partakes in Peer Partners. She looks forward to being on the volleyball team. Keianna aspires to go to college to be an optometrist."

Nataleigh, a 7th grader, was nominated by Ms. Weighley, who wrote, " Nataleigh is a very conscientious student and takes ownership of her learning by coming to see me when she doesn't understand a math concept. Nataleigh participates in classroom discussions and comes to class prepared. Nataleigh's polite and courteous demeanor contribute to why she is a great role model for her peers. When working with a partner or in a group, Nataleigh always does her best and participates with an enthusiastic attitude." Nataleigh is involved in Student Council, Art Guild, Cares Clowns, and Fashion Club. Nataleigh also participates in gymnastics and likes to hang out with her friends and draw. When she grows up, Nataleigh would like to be a movie animator.
