The Prairie Central Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 16th at 7:00 to approve a "Reopening" plan for the 2021-22 school year. The meeting will be held at the Fairbury Baptist Church, at 701 N Seventh Street in Fairbury.

PCJH Open House Date Clarification. Tuesday, August 17th from 5:00pm -7:00pm for incoming 7th grade and NEW 8th grade students and their parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to come. Please refer to the schedule mailed to your home and arrive as close as possible to your scheduled time. See you there!

We have been getting some questions regarding siblings. If you have school age children, and you are going from one teacher to the next, they may come with you.

The Jr. High softball game vs. Parkside scheduled for this afternoon at 4:00 in Fairbury has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Your Infinite Campus Parent Portal has access to your child’s teacher today! Once you find out who their teacher is, please sign up for a time to come and meet them! We are excited to offer an open house this year for our students to return for the school year. We are aware that the district has not finalized our Return to Learn Plan for the 2021-2022 school year. Until that plan is formally approved, we will need to follow the current guidance that has been established by the State of Illinois. We understand that the wearing or not wearing masks elicits emotions but our hope is that our focus for this evening is on our students. We want your child’s first school year experience to be positive and our hope is that we can go through our evening without any unwanted conflict. Please have masks to wear in the building for the open house and we are happy to provide masks for those who need one to enter the building. Thank you for your cooperation and we are excited to meet you and your child for this upcoming school year. Elementary Meet The Teacher Night Information Due to social distancing concerns, we are asking for families to sign up for 15 minute time slots to meet your child's teacher and visit the classroom. We are looking forward to the upcoming school year! There will be an Open House on Tuesday, August 17th from 5-7pm for all 7th graders and new 8th graders. Families will be assigned a designated time to attend. Schedules and more information about Open House will be mailed out next week. In addition, we've had a lot of questions concerning P.E. uniforms. Uniforms are available and can be purchased through the school. More information will be sent home the first week of school.
